A bit about us – and how we ended up starting a surf school on Lolland
Hi! We’re Nico and Svenja – two Germans who ended up on Lolland by chance, didn’t really feel like leaving again, and decided to start a surf school here.
After many years in water sports, working as freelancers and travelling a lot, we bought a sailboat in 2020 and set off towards Scandinavia.
What started as a journey slowly turned into something else.
In 2022, we arrived in Nakskov Fjord – and stayed. Not because it was planned, but because the place immediately felt right. The conditions on the water, the space, the calm – and a way of life that moves a little slower than in many other places.
For us, water sports are more than just an activity.
They connect us with nature – with wind, water and conditions we can’t control. You learn to adapt, to think along, and to accept that nature will always be stronger. That’s exactly what makes it so exciting – and honestly, a little bit addictive.
With Kitesurf & Paddle Lolland, we want to share that feeling.
Not just to offer lessons, but to create a way for people to connect with the water, nature and a different sense of time.
Whether it’s your first time on a board or you simply want to be out on the water, we guide you with experience, a calm approach and a good feel for the conditions in the fjord.
What we share is not only based on our own passion, but also on many years of experience in water sports. We’ve worked in different places and under all kinds of conditions – and that helps us today to get you safely and confidently out on the water.
