The water sport Spot Hestehovedet
Our spot on Hestehovedet beach offers fantastic conditions for water sports. Here you will find shallow and flat water, constant winds and many small islands to explore. Hestehovedet is located in the middle of Nakskov Fjord on the island of Lolland in Denmark. You will find us between Restaurant Fjorden and the yacht harbour.
Spot information
Hestehovedet beach is divided into northern and southern parts by a long bathing jetty.
We recommend the northern part as a water sports area, as there are fewer bathers there. There you can set up your water sports equipment and go straight onto the water. Our kitesurfing and SUP kurser courses also take place here.
Kayakers will find various boarding points at Nakskov Seijklub south of the harbour, on the east side of the harbor and at Hestehovedet beach.
The southern part of the beach in Hestehovedet is the bathing beach, where mainly swimmers and bathers stay.
Parking is available at Restaurant Fjorden.
Hestehovedet is a popular leisure destination in the region and offers everything you need for a nice day by the sea: Here you will find the Restaurant Fjorden, a modern children's playground, Nakskov Fjord Camping campingplads with a snack bar, kiosk and mini golf course, a bathing jetty with a sauna and much more.

Nakskov Fjord Nature reserve

The Nakskov Fjord region is part of the Natura 2000 areas. Many islands and the Albuen Lagoon are nature reserves. Access and water sports are restricted here at times to protect the areas during the bird breeding season. You can find out more about these rules here.
